What do I do now?

We've had a pretty busy weekend and I can't believe it's already over - back to work tomorrow! The funny thing is that I actually like my job and things are going pretty well right now at work, but every Monday I think of all the 'other' things I could be getting done if I didn't have to go into the office. Of course, working ensures we continue to get to do the other things...so it's a double-edged sword really :) I hope all of you had a good weekend as well - here's hoping that the weather gets nicer very soon!

Abby has been working on her leg muscles for a while and she's starting to stand by herself up against the couch. She doesn't show any interest in getting up to a standing position on her own, but once you put her up there she does really well. It's the getting down part that is the challenge.

We were at the North Bend outlet malls this weekend and it got so cold I had to buy Abby a new hat...look what 25 cents at an outlet mall will buy you!!!

There shall be teeth!!

After three weeks of trying we finally got a shot of Abby's two front teeth (along with a little bit of carrot)...SMILE!





This weekend was so great we had the chance to play outside in the pool...well, there wasn't any water in it, but the frog sure did create a lot of shade. It's good to be a baby :-)

Happy Mother's Day

This year was my first Mother's Day and what a great day it was. Greg got up early (4:30am) to make my favorite pineapple-turnover breakfast muffins - he also had a great bouquet of flowers waiting for me and, because of my daughter's gift giving advice to her father, I get to spend a quality day of relaxation at a spa!!!

Abby dressed up for me and we went to spend the morning together as a family at St. Barbara's Parish. She slept through most of the mass, but I know her spirit was still in to it. Afterwards Greg made his mom and I brunch - and yes, he did clean up afterwards - what an amazing guy!

The day before my mom, Abby and I went out to lunch and spent our first three-generation Mother's Day together!!!

Greg finished the toy box!!!

Greg finished Abby's toy box last week - it's made out of purple heart and birdseye maple. It's his first major woodworking project since he set up his shop in the garage. The shop takes up about 3/4s of the garage, but with an outcome like our new toy box I can live with it.
